Dairsie Church Fund-raising Committee organised the now annual safari supper, and again, it was a great success. The 69 participants met at the church hall - many with no direct connection with the church, but who had heard it was always a good do! After the welcoming drink, all collected details for their safari, and dispersed, first to one house for the main course, and then into the car to progress to desert. There were 11 hostesses - everyone was royally entertained, and enjoyed meeting different guests at each course. Coffee was served in the church hall. The raffle was drawn, and Mrs. Donald, Todhall, a first-time hostess at the event, won the draw for hostess of the year. Jan Strickland, chair of the committee, warmly thanked all who participated in any way, and the committee are delighted to report that £777 was raised for church funds.
This Sunday, July 6, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., Dairsie Church Guild will be serving strawberry teas in the church hall. There will be home baking for sale, and all are assured of a warm and friendly welcome.

The strawberry tea on Sunday afternoon, July 6 brought out enthusiastic support for the very tasty fruit tea, the stalls, and the cheery company of around 70 folk. The welcome some of £332.74 was raised for Guild funds. Holiday time, and a smaller number than usual were at the monthly coffee morning, but those who came enjoyed the chance to chat over their cuppa and home baking. There was a warm welcome to members of the 2nd Forfar Boys' Brigade Company at the morning service on Sunday. It was great to see young folk in the church, and their presence caused the minister to recall his happy times with the Boys Brigade. They are camping out at Logie, and have many activities planned for the week and weren't they lucky with the weather.
