Dairsie War Memorial Hall

Members of the Hall Committee are busy preparing for the strawberry tea. They are hoping for your support at this village event, taking place on Saturday, June 20, from 2pm - 4pm. Donations to the stalls, tombolla and raffle can be handed in to Carol Owen prior to the event. The hall will be open on the morning of June 20 for donations of home baking. There will be games and competitions on the day, so come along and join in.

Dairsie Guild

The ladies in the Guild and the school children are busy preparing for their "Aspects of Flowers" display in the Church next Saturday, June 27th, from 11 am - 4 pm and Sunday the 28th from 1 - 4 pm.

Dairsie WRI

Members enjoyed a flower arranging demonstration for their June meeting. Competition winners - flower arrangement in a slipper - 1st R. Ferguson, 2nd J. Armes; Flower of the month - 1st M. Smith, 2nd W. Ferguson.

Dairsie War Memorial Hall Strawberry Tea

The sun shone as visitors arrived at the hall for this years Strawberry Tea. It was lovely to see such a large crowd enjoying the sun and the stalls were kept busy. Strawberry teas were served in the Hall, this was followed by a presentation to a much surprised Mrs. Katharine Tomlinson, Mrs. Norma Davis Chairman of Dairsie community Council warmly thanked Katharine on behalf of the village for being the Dairsie news reporter for the past 25 years and wished her a happy retirement. Carol Owain Chairperson of the Hall Committee presented Katharine with a bouquet of flowers and gardening vouchers. Carol then thanked everyone for coming and to everyone who had donated to the stalls and raffle. She thanked the Committee for all their hard work on the day. There were thanks to Joyce, Jo and Susan, who were kept busy serving the strawberry teas, around £400 was raised.
